Canada's greatest strength is it's strong and well built
multicultural mosaic, founded by the late Prime Minister Pierre
Elliot Trudeau. Announcement of "Just Society" (1968) led to the
spirit of unity in diversity and has, thereafter, continued to grow.
Services provided by the Center include:
Welcome to the great Institution of Multiculturalism and Folk Arts at 196 Van Horne Street, Sudbury and taste the flavor of "Harmony in Diversity".
"SMFAA GETS STRONGER" Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association is proud to welcome new groups to our multicultural family. The Ukrainian Senior’s Centre is rejoining us and coming up with new ideas how to provide services to ethnic seniors. The Bangladesh – Canada Association of Sudbury and Indonesian Society of Northern Ontario Chapter are newly formed and are joining us to build our multicultural strength and provide assistance to newcomers and immigrants from Bangladesh and Indonesia. On the recommendation of the Board, SMFAA delegates in its meeting, unanimously approved the groups membership and gave a hearty welcome. GET INVOLVED! Become a Volunteer We invite newcomers, youths and adults in the community to join SMFAA in our many cultural activities. Volunteering is a great way to meet people, network and discover the many joys of your community. Volunteering with SMFAA lets you do all of this while experiencing and learning from the many vibrant cultures present in our city.
